Scuba diving is rich and varied in Costa Rica. What you see will depend on where you dive. Some of the more sought after diving venues include the Gulf of Papagayo, which is easily reached via a short boat ride; or near Drake’s Bay on the Osa Peninsula. Also check out the beaches near the city of Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. If you’re willing to travel further, book a charter to Cocos Island, about 375 miles off Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, for some of the best diving in the world.
