Costa Rica’s nature lodges, also known as eco-lodges, give visitors a chance to see the country’s wonderful flora and fauna up-close. Most of these lodges are located on the southern Pacific and Caribbean coasts. Generally off-the-beaten-track and close to rainforests, national parks, and other interesting ecological sites, some of these lodges are very basic. But don’t let the word “nature” fool you. Many of these eco-lodges are quite luxurious and offer everything from gourmet meals to spa packages.
